I am a mother who was in desperate search of something that would allow my family to hug and comfort my 2 year old Autistic daughter. She had never been able to naturally give us a hug or kiss due to severe sensory problems that come with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My 7 year old daughter came to me and wanted me to build a hug machine for her sister. She said, "Mommy, first we teach her hugs, then kisses will come later."

The child-like simplicity of her request, combined with the sensory integrated tools we were given by her amazing therapists gave us a silver lining in what seemed to be, at the time, a hopeless journey. We now have hugs, and kisses all the time.
